Filtering, sorting, and downloading work orders

To get a better overview and to find the relevant work orders, several possibilities are available by filtering existing work orders. It is easy to find a work order by using the filtering, sorting and search options. You can also save filter settings that you configure.

Some filters have a drop-down menu depending on the configuration and the information in the tool e.g., the possible assets and work order types.

Filter work orders

There are four filtering options.

Option 1

Search for any field or information on the work order search bar. The search field enables the user to search for specific work order names, ID, public comments and custom fields.


Option 2

Activate 'Filter' in the work order list. Select the relevant information. Filter based on the different work order fields.

In the following table, all possible filters are shown:

SiteThe site is the name of the wind farm/project. All sites filled in the site bar are visible here
AssetThe asset is the plant. All wind turbines and substations of the wind farms are available here
ComponentThe component is a part of the asset
SubassemblySubassembly is an assembled unit designed to be incorporated with other units in a finished product
Work packagesWork orders only included in the work package section
Work order typeThe work order type is the configured list of possible kinds of work orders 
PriorityThe priority is the configured list of possible precedence's
Work order statusThe work order status is the planning status in the execution tool. The possible statuses are listed here:   
  • In Backlog: The work order is already released, but not ready for execution. So there is some preparation missing
  • Ready for execution: The work order is prepared, can be planned and executed
  • Being planned: The work order is planned as a draft, but the planning isn't finalized and no documents are created
  • Dispatched: The work order is dispatched to the technicians
  • Being worked on: There are still technicians working on the work order. When the work is done, the word order can be finished or re-opened
  • Finished: The work order is done
  • Closed: The work order has been closed
  • Cancelled: The work order has been cancelled
Filter by dateHere it is possible to define a filter by date and which type of filter
Filter date fromThe field defines the start date of the filter
Filter date toThe field defines the end date of the filter

It is necessary to fill in the 'from' date and the 'to' date in order to make the filter run. Use the Show more filter options to filter more detailed.


Option 3

Use a stored filter. It is possible to save the filters and use them again later. 

After selecting the relevant information, the filter can be saved. Clicking on 'Save filter'.

In the opening window below, fill in the filter name and save the filter by clicking 'Done'.

>The defined filter can also be used in the work order list in the planning mode.

Option 4

Filtering the columns

You can also change which columns you want to see, and the order of the columns. Start by clicking on the cogwheel

In the window that pops up, you can change the order list by clicking the arrows or remove each column by clicking on the 'X'.


Sort work orders

Additional to the filtering it is possible to sort the work order list by the predefined fields in the list, click on the title of the column to sort them.

No title; blue, grey or red boxes are statusesThe various priorities in a work order. Red states an urgent work order, the dark blue high priority: the lighter the blue the less urgent a task. Grey is a low priority.
AssetThe related asset of the work order.
Checklist progressChecklist items, showing how many are completed out of the total number.
Completed man-hoursThe actual manhours spent on the work order.
ComponentThe component the work order is connected to.
Earliest start dateDate the work order should be started by.
Estimated man-hoursEstimated man-hours required to finish the work order.
IDThe work order ID.
Latest finish dateDate the work order should be finished by.
NameThe title of the work order.
Needs attentionIndicates whether the work order requires attention.
Planned finish dateThe planned finished date of the work order. A warning appears if this date is after the latest finish date.
Planned start dateThe planned start date of the work order. A warning appears if this date is before the earliest start date.
PriorityPriority given to the work order.
Recurring?Indicates whether it is a recurring work order or not.
Required manpowerThe required team size of the work order.
SiteSite where the work order is assigned to.
StatusThis is the planning status of the work order.
SubassemblyThe related subassembly of the work order.
Time remainingThe estimation of the remaining time of the work order.
Work order typeThe type of the work order.
Work packageWork package the work order is assigned to.

Download work orders

Check the work orders you want to download using the checkboxes on the left side of the table, then click Download at the top right. Choose the relevant format and the download will start processing. (PDF downloads will download immediately.) You will receive a notification when your file is ready for download.

Download options:

  • PDF
    • Convenient for sharing an overview of information with stakeholders.
  • CSV
    • A limited CSV file containing essential work order information.
  • CSV (all fields)
  • PDF (ZIP) summary of finished and closed work orders
    • A slimed-down summary containing checklists and completed activities. There is one PDF per work order contained in a ZIP file.
