Dashboard - Site Overview

Modified on Wed, 12 Jun 2024 at 02:18 PM

The dashboard view allows you to get an overview of all relevant data in one place without navigating through the entire system. Today, we have different dashboard views (“widgets”) available: My activities, Data dashboard, Work order progress, Weather, Components and Asset info.

Select Dashboard and the view of interest.

The map will display the number of assets in a cluster, and when you zoom in, the numbers will change to display the actual locations of the assets. You can also click on a transport or a base, which will update the data seen on the right-hand side. The 'Site Overview' gives you an overall view and status of the selected site and all its assets. The purpose of the 'Site Overview' is also to provide detailed information about sites, assets, asset types, bases, transports, and how all are interconnected.

In the filtering options, you can select the 'Site', 'Asset type' and the 'Milestone sequence' to view what you want.

The percentage on the 'Site Overview' is dependent on the 'Asset milestones', depending on how many status' has been set; if there are four status', the percentage will increase with 25% per completed task - if there are five, the percentage will increase with 20% per completed task, and so forth.

The icons that represent the progress/status of each asset in the site overview map are viewed as a 'progress bar'. The 'Asset ID' is listed on top of the progress bar and number of completed milestones are listed below the progress bar.

A legend on the map shows the following colours and their meaning:

  1. Asset should appear as green when ALL statuses have been marked as complete
  2. Asset should appear in progress as orange when at least one of the statuses have been marked as complete
  3. Asset should appear as grey and in Not started when NONE of the statuses have been marked as complete

This article contains the following information:

In order to run a successful 'Site Overview', you will have to start by adding 'Asset milestones'. This can be done in the 'Account settings' if you have permission to do it. Please follow the link which guides you on how to set up 'asset milestones'.

Once you've set up the milestone sequences, you are now able to set the status/progress on each asset. There are multiple ways on how to do that which will be explained in more detail in the following article Setting the status on an Asset.

View/edit status on an asset

You can view the status of a milestone on each asset by hovering over it. In order to obtain more detailed information regarding the asset type and milestone sequences, click on it. If you wish to update the status of a milestone sequence, select the edit button next to the milestones. The module window of this asset will open and guide you to the general tab where you can update the milestone sequences.

View/register personnel on map

You can view the number of personnel on each asset/transport by hovering over it. If you wish to register personnel to a certain asset, scroll down to 'Personnel' and click on the edit button. The module window of this asset will open and guide you to the personnel tab where you can (un)register personnel.

Manage location of teams from the site overview
You can change the location of your personal from the Site overview tab by following these simple steps.
1. Select the relevant personnel.

2. Then after click on the Personnel and teams tab you can select the person or whole team you would like to relocate, then after selecting the person or team simply drag and drop them on the asset.

(If you instead of the Personnel and teams tab you see Personnel please do a hard refresh.)

View transport on map

If you have set up the Shinpfinder API integration, you can view marine traffic on the site overview.

HOW DO THEY DO THIS between your own transportation (marked as red colour) or other transportation (marked as blue colour).

When you hover over a vessel, you will see its path for the previous 2 hours.

Vessel movement updates very 15 seconds, assuming the vessel is in motion.

Click on a logistic on the map to view additional information about it.

Adding Asset Custody

If you would like to see who is responsible for the asset on a daily bases you, can add asset custody.

The first step is to have the  Asset custody permission which can be done in the following way

Then you can edit your Asset

Vessel AIS data

From the site overview, you can view current and historic data as well as download it, integrated with Shipfinder.

In the map you can visualise the current vessel route when hovering the vessel. It will display the last two hours route and load information every 15 seconds. The vessels use MMSI and IMO as identifiers. If there are no vessels shown but are located there, is due to lack of activity therefore no data is sent.

On the top of the page, you will see these two buttons.

In order to access and visualise historic data, there is a button on the top right, ''Vessel history tracking''. It will display data for up to 24hours from the date (up to 30 days in the past) and time picked.

Once clicked, select a start date and time, and duration. In the example, this will gather data from the 2nd Oct 2023 from midnight for a duration of 17 hours, so up to 5pm on the 2nd Oct 2023. Click confirm.

This view is historic, therefore no asset milestones nor personnel, nor live information is displayed. The data will load and will show a list of vessels on that period from the panel to the right. It will be sorted by company vessels (in red registered in Shoreline) on top and non-company vessels (in blue) at the bottom. Start date and time and duration can be changed from the panel.

You can select the vessels from the panel or the map and it will show the route for the duration chosen if activity. You can unselect the route by deselecting the vessel on the panel or clicking on the vessel in the map. You can also expand the vessel to see more info.

You can also hover over the route and zoom in to see more data points.

Once done looking at historic tracking vessel data, click on ''Back to live view'' to go back to current map.

The download gets data every 5min recorded in the file for up to 30 days on all vessels in the area provided through Shipfinder registered. Go to ''download AIS'', select a date range and click ''Export''.

The download contains:

Last update that shoreline captured, and Last seen when Shipfinder sent information. Other data comes from the provider.
